Terms of Service

Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the HomeDex mobile application ("the App") operated by HomeDex ("we", "our", or "us").

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using HomeDex, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

HomeDex is a home inventory management application that allows you to:

• Catalog and organize your belongings
• Create a hierarchical storage structure
• Use AI-powered item recognition (optional)
• Search and locate your items
• Track quantities and receive low-stock reminders

3. Account Registration

• You may create an account using Apple Sign-In or Google Sign-In.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account.
• You must provide accurate and complete information.
• You must be at least 13 years old to use the App.

4. Subscription and Payments

4.1 Free Trial

New users receive a free trial period. During the trial, you have access to all features.

4.2 Subscription

• After the trial, a subscription is required for continued use.
• Subscriptions are billed through the App Store.
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled.
• You can cancel anytime through your App Store settings.

4.3 Refunds

Refunds are handled by Apple according to their policies. We do not process refunds directly.

5. User Content

5.1 Your Content

You retain ownership of all content you create in the App (photos, item data, storage structure). You grant us a limited license to store and process this content to provide the service.

5.2 Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any illegal purpose
• Upload malicious content or code
• Attempt to reverse engineer the App
• Share your account with others
• Use the App to store sensitive documents (financial, medical, legal)

6. AI Features

• AI item recognition is provided by Google Gemini.
• AI analysis is optional and requires your consent.
• AI results may not always be accurate.
• You should verify AI-generated information before relying on it.

7. Intellectual Property

• The App, including its design, features, and code, is owned by HomeDex.
• You may not copy, modify, or distribute the App.
• The HomeDex name and logo are our trademarks.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT:

• The App will be error-free or uninterrupted
• AI recognition will be accurate
• Your data will never be lost

We recommend regularly exporting your data as a backup.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

• Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Loss of data or business interruption
• Any damages exceeding the amount you paid us in the past 12 months

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.

11. Termination

• You may delete your account at any time through the App settings.
• We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms.
• Upon termination, your right to use the App ends immediately.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. We will notify you of significant changes.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Taiwan, Republic of China. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Taiwan.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect.

15. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and HomeDex regarding the App.
